Palavra started from a simple frustration: the words you truly want to learn are the ones you meet in the wild — in a song, a conversation, a book, a film — and most apps make those the hardest to keep. So we built the opposite.
Make it effortless to turn any word you encounter into lasting knowledge. Palavra combines AI enrichment, open and shareable study sets, and spaced repetition so that learning a language feels less like homework and more like collecting the language you actually live in.
AI-native
AI isn't a bolt-on. It enriches every word with meaning, examples, grammar and audio, and powers a tutor that knows your vocabulary.
Built on real input
You learn from the words you meet — captured by typing, speaking or snapping a photo — not from someone else's fixed list.
Open & shareable
Any set can be made public and shared with a link, so learners can build on each other's work.
Memory-first
Spaced repetition and twelve kinds of exercise are built in, so words move from recognised to remembered.
Honesty
We describe what the product actually does — no inflated claims, no vanity metrics.
Focus
Fewer, better features that serve the core loop of capture, enrich and master.
Openness
Shareable sets and portable data — your learning belongs to you.
Craft
A calm, fast, beautiful interface that respects your attention.
A good fit if you…
- learn a language on your own and want to keep the words you meet in songs, chats, books or lessons
- prefer short, daily practice on a spaced-repetition schedule
- teach 1:1 or small groups and want lessons, homework and each student's words in one place
- want to share flashcard sets or study sets other learners have made public
